Moreton Manor has recieved a commendation for Residential Archtiecture - Houses (Alterations and Additions) at the 2019 AIA NSW Chapter Archtiecture Awards.
Jury citation: “This landmark Victorian Italianate mansion has been gracefully brought back to life as a family home through the restoration of original detailing and materials, and the application of appropriately extravagant materials and proportions where new. The double height north-facing rear pavilion has been crafted with restraint and due respect for the original house and rear cottage. It is minimal in detail, contrasting in materiality but suitably scaled.
Moreton Manor is a sensitive restoration and adaptation of a heritage house for a contemporary family life celebrating the beauty and character of the architecture of its time.”
