We were creative directors for Paspaley’s annual Strand Dinner event, held at their heritage-listed Martin Place store in Sydney. We installed an eight-metre long chandelier fabricated from 144 polished mother-of-pearl shells, which was suspended from two marble columns over a 22-seat dining table. Peter Gilmore, head chef of Quay, prepared the dinner for the evening which included an entrée of pearl flesh.
Consultation was given by Partridge engineers for the fine tensile structure developed for the installation. We also collaborated with Grandiflora for the evening’s arrangements.
